Event Description

Southeast Texas Families,

You are especially invited to our next youth fishing tournament which is free and open to the public. This will be my Eagle Scout Service Project as a Boy Scout in Troop 780 of the Boy Scouts of America sponsored by the Katy 3rd Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

At 8:00-9:00am, there will be a TPWD mini-basic Fishing Class for all participants. The youth fishing tournament will be 9:00am-1:00pm. We will have a a fishing tackle station with help to rig up your lines and free bait, a Backyard Bass Casting Contest for nice prizes, an exotic nature exhibit with live non-venomous snakes and turtles, and a large 29 gallon fish aquarium with oxygen to display recently caught live fish by the kids. About $600 worth of prizes, mainly rod and reel combos, will be awarded for the longest Catfish, Largemouth Bass, or other eligible fish caught. Please join us at this nearby Katy Park for a fun filled morning of family outdoor activities.

All youth can be registered by their parents upon arriving at the park on the morning of the event starting at 7:30am. Thanks!
