District Elections this Wednesday

As per National BSA guidelines, 60 to 30 days prior to the District Annual Business meeting, the Nominating Committee is identified to the District. Nominations are received up until 2 weeks before the Annual Business meeting in writing. Positions for nominations are 2012 Members-At-large, District Chairman and a Vice-Chairman as well as a recommendation for District Commissioner (this is a non-voted upon position). Philmont Training Center

If you thought Woodbadge produced excited parents and leaders for your unit, you need to send people to Philmont. It is a dirt cheap family vacation for what and where you can go and do. Please allow your families the opportunity to choose classes next summer that will strengthen your program and re-energize your pool of parents. See the attached document for great menu ideas for No Cook planning.  SHAC camps are now under an extreme fire ban, with no open flames, no propane stoves or lanterns, no fires.

Boy Scout Leader training UPDATED Aug 29, 2011 DATE change

Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training is part of the basic training for troop Scoutmasters or Assistant Scoutmasters.
