Event Description

The Houston Scout Fair is the biggest Scout Show in the nation. You will
definitely want to attend this extraordinary fun fest event. Scout from
Tiger Cubs to Eagle Scouts will have a fabulous, fun-filled day mingling
with thousands of other Scouts and their families, participating in hundreds
of hands-on activities (e.g., climbing walls, craft booths, monkey bridges,
rubber band guns, making Gak, meeting astronauts), tasting gourmet camp-fare
cooked by Scouts (e.g., cobbler, chili, turkey, bread), and taking home
treasured bits of memorabilia at Reliant Arena. You have to pay for parking
and one Scout Fair ticket (which admits the entire family), but once you are
inside, everything is free (unless you choose to purchase food). Consider
bringing snacks and cooler of drinks for the trip home. The entire family
and even friends considering joining scouts will have a great time. Make
sure you bring your camera, water bottle, comfortable walking shoes, and an
emergency meeting point (maybe the district or your pack booth).

Mega-Derby at Scout Fair: For the sixth year, boys and family can bring
their Pinewood cars to the Scout Fair and race them

It’s easy and fun to show off your unit’s talents and skills, and earn recognitions and awards at Scout Fair. Once your unit has selected your Scout Fair theme, exhibit size and type, fill in all the information requested on your Unit Participation Application Booth registration Spring 2013
