Involving Parents Into Scouting – Philip Soneye

Scouting operates at its best when families participate in the activities and have fun together. Families are encouraged to assist in making scouting program more successful. Every scout leaders should endeavor to introduce "Parents Volunteering Program" into their system. Welcome John Williams - new Mustang District Director

Brendan Cronin resigns as District Director

Brendan Cronin resigned from Sam Houston Area Council effective last Friday, May 8th.  He was a great asset and resource to our Mustang District leadership, unit scouters and our scouts.  We wish him the best in his future endeavors.  Brendan will join our "volunteer" ranks in Texas Skies district as his son becomes a Tiger this fall.

The 16-hour Leave No Trace Trainer's Course will be offered at Camp Brosig, February 27 to March 1, 2015.  This is the course required for youth (14+) wishing to fill the position of LNT Trainer within their unit. 2014 Silver Beaver honorees - Jeff Allen, Henry Bunting and Pauline Curnutt
