Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training is part of the basic training for troop SMs or ASMs. It focuses on what a SM or ASM needs to know, needs to be, and needs to do. Topics include roles of the Scoutmaster in a boy-run troop, patrol method, troop organization, the outdoor program, the advancement program, and an introduction to troop administration.

Training will be held on 3 consecutive Tuesday nights. They are:
• Part 1 – September 4, 2012, from 7:00pm to 9:30pm
• Part 2 – September 11, 2012, from 7:00pm to 9:30pm
• Part 3 – September 18, 2012, from 7:00pm to 9:30pm

All 3 parts must be completed to be credited for this training.

All 3 parts will be held at Christ Church PCA, 10818 Gaston Road, Katy, TX 77494. Go to this link a href="" target="_blank">> for map and directions. There is no cost to attend. You can register by return email or simply show up. Kindly bring a Boy Scout handbook, notebook and pen, and a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
